Agie Markiewicz-Hocking, Coordinator
Agie joined WCNYC in the summer of 2007 and became the Coordinator in the Summer of 2010. In addition to her work at WCNYC, Agie teaches in the English and Women’s and Gender Studies Departments at Pace and serves on the Steering Committee of the North East Writing Centers Association. Agie is currently pursuing a doctorate in English Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she specializes in college reading and writing pedagogies as well as writing center theory and practice.
Etta Roth, Faculty Tutor
Etta is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the English department, where she teaches both native and non-native speakers. She has taught at Pace since 1998, prior to which she worked in business.
Bernadette the reception plant
Bernadette has been a constant and beloved presence at WCNYC for two years. Her duties include reception and promoting a welcome environment for all. She also holds the world record for survival without water.
